I've had the opportunity to see this user group grow the past 10 months and I'm anxious to see how we can continue to do that. I've personally presented a couple times now and would love to see what topics or technologies you are interested in hearing about. The directors and I are here to help any of you and to also learn from your experiences and knowledge. No one person is above this community and we want each of you to be able to voice your interests, needs, and passions. We hope we have helped educate and strengthen best practices in your coding efforts while also showing what technologies are coming around the corner to make our lives, as developers, better, quicker, and more productive without causing any decrease in quality.

We will be trying a new format in February. This format is the Open Spaces format and we believe that it will have excellent results.

We look forward to each of you coming to the December meeting to learn/hear about mocking and how to use it with unit tests.

Nelson Montalvo, Wachovia Lead Developer and TDD enthusiast will be speaking about Mocking 101. He will show us how to use mocking while implementing Test-Driven Development, one of the pillars of Agile Software Development.

Nelson codes using test-driven development, domain driven techniques, C#.NET, and open source tools. He will even show us how to use one such tool for mocking, Rhino Mocks.
