VB Programmer Job Description: 18- Month Contract Our Client has recently been awarded a large contract with the State of Tennessee's independent school districts. The managers need another developer to help with back-end, production support to help with the pending workload from this contract award. Core skill set is VB.6 and Access. Current TEKsystems employees also have strong experience with MY SQL; SQL queries; VBA scripting and importation of flat file via VBA scripting. We will need someone that is, first, a subject matter expert on VB.6 and Access with secondary, working knowledge and practical experience with MY SQL; SQL queries and scripting. The group is 5 total employees (4 contractors and 1 FTE). Personality and soft skills will be important. The work will be done onsite at Client’s facility located in San Antonio. It is a professional to business casual environment, depending on time of year and day of week, but a unique blend of technologists and educators. The position will have a rolling, 6 month PO#, which will be issued 1-4 weeks after the initial start date. The Average length of assignment at our Client Site in San Antonio is at the 18 month mark.
